APPLY FOR CAR FINANCE AT WEBUYCARS
The most convenient way to apply for finance is to click on “Get finance” once you’ve selected the car you are interested in. However, should you prefer to speak to someone face to face, you are most welcome to visit any of our WeBuyCars branches, where one of our finance and insurance agents can assist you with your application.
Qualifying Vehicles
Cars on our floor marked as “Category A” can be financed.
Roadworthy
Vehicles marked as “certified” or "ready” have been evaluated and do not require any repairs to pass a roadworthy test. However, Category A vehicles without a "certified" or “ready” mark will require repair work in order to pass the roadworthy test. The required repair work will be indicated in the used vehicle condition report. You can refer to the used vehicle condition report attached to each vehicle listing for more detail on potential issues that need to be addressed in order to pass a roadworthy test.
Warranty
If the vehicle is financed and the manufacturer’s warranty has expired or will expire within 6 months from the date of purchase, we will require you to purchase an extended or pre-owned mechanical warranty. This can be purchased from WeBuyCars as a separate product at an additional price. If you prefer not to purchase a mechanical breakdown warranty from WeBuyCars, we will require proof of a third party warranty policy that is active for at least 12 (twelve) months from the date of purchase and that provides at least R20 000 cover for major component failure such as an engine failure.

Other Options
Cars on our floor marked as “Category B” do not qualify for vehicle finance. You can however apply for a personal loan through Capitec. Simply follow the same process by clicking on “Get Finance” once you’ve identified the vehicle you would like to buy.
Additional Charges
Additional charges may apply when financing a vehicle.
Licence and registration fee:
- Vehicles below 3.5 tons: R2 350 (VAT not applicable).
- Vehicles above 3.5 tons: Price on application (POA).
Delivery fee:
- Vehicles below 3.5 tons: R4 050 (including VAT).
- Vehicles above 3.5 tons: R5 500 (including VAT).
Please note, this is not a fee to deliver the car to you but the cost of getting the vehicle ready for you. The fee includes the roadworthy and inspection fees.
