As a Recon Manager, you will assume a leadership role, overseeing all aspects of the recon process. Your role involves implementing efficient procedures, drawing on best practices such as “Getting Things Done Through Other People” and “Manage by Walking Around” to ensure the timely completion of daily tasks as outlined in job descriptions. A successful Recon Manager in this position will strategically leverage all available human resources to meet and exceed daily task deadlines, fostering a culture of target achievement aligned with relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Your responsibilities also encompass the development of streamlined processes to ensure the effective deployment of resources within each branch.

General Tasks and Responsibilities:

·       To manage the recon office area.

·       To ensure that each salesperson has the necessary training to conduct duties.

·       Organised, introducing new systems where needed.

·       To ensure that required KPI’s are maintained and upheld.

·       To minimise delays on turnaround time.

·       Source new workshops and OEM group partnerships within warehouse distance.

·       Update Nexus when required.

·       To manage workshops and uphold and build relationships.

Branch Recon Maintenance:

·       Daily end of day updates.

·       Weekly KPI meetings.

·       Managing OEM vehicles.

·       Branch cost saving on workshop level.

·       Managing and preventing loss of warranties.

·       Managing communications between workshops and WeBuyCars.

·       Managing adherence to WeBuyCars code of conduct and business ethics across all branches.

·       Identifying and correcting incorrect information of vehicles.

·       Daily Production meeting attendance to ensure accuracy on reserve vehicles.

External Workshops:

·       Building and maintaining workshop relationships.

·       Maintain and prevent loss of communication.

·       Managing adherence to ETA provided to prevent client dissatisfaction.

Key Accountabilities:

·       Plan and coordinate AAA and Ageing stock vehicles.

·       Monitoring reserve status lead time and ensuring a constant in average days.

·       Deal structuring to ensure maximum volume of finance vehicles are delivered.

·       Update service history on Nexus on all work going through Recon.

Key Performance Indicators:

·       Managing and maintaining average days of finance vehicles in reserve status.

·       Managing and maintaining average days of finance vehicles in recon status.

·       Achieve prescribed target for Certified sticker vehicles.

·       Achieve prescribed target Golden sticker vehicles.
